End of the Year Reflection
I have learned so much this year in Tech Prep 11. Some lessons that will help me in the future and assignments that
have helped me reveal things that I need to work on to become a better person in the near future. My favorite assignment
of the year was the Product project because it made me feel like I actually owned a product and had my own business to
run; it gave me a taste of how the real world would be if I continued to pursue my education to the next level. My worst
assignment was the Weebly final because I had to revise and organize my entire portfolio for the whole school year. I’ve
never been too fond of organization and handing things in on time, that is why organization and handing things early is one
of my areas of development and that is why the Weebly final is my worst assignment. The discussion we had in class
earlier in the year was very exciting because the topics would always be interesting and you would learn a thing or two
from joining the discussion; I honestly just wished we kept on continuing the discussion throughout the year. One thing I
will admit that I struggled with was coming in late to class all the time and in the near future I hope to change that as later
in the year I showed some improvement and started coming in on time. My computer skills have sky-rocketed due to this
class because of all the work we had to do on the computer, my typing skills are superb and looking for sources on the
internet is easier. One of my most difficult tasks was meeting the deadlines. I was constantly unable to hand in
assignments before its due date and that hurt my grades tremendously, which has been something I have struggled in all my
years of high school. It’s an area where I strongly need to improve in to be a better person in the future. Therefor I maybe
able to hand something in late in school but in the real world it wouldn’t be tolerated therefor I need to take advantage of
the fact that I am still young and can improve in that area. I’m so happy to say that presenting to a crowd or class is my
greatest strength, you give me a product to present and you will see the best of me. I’m very good at socializing with
people and speaking clearly that is why I won first place on my product project presentation and the judges were
delighted with my performance. A novel that impacted me on the way I think about death was Tuesdays with Morrie
because it teaches you to live life to its fullest capacity and thus death wouldn’t be feared because you have already
lived. Overall, and I mean this honestly, this class has been a great lesson and experience and not only in just becoming a
better writer but a better person in the future. I’ve enjoyed every single lesson and am thankful for a wonderful English
year and Ms. Aponte for mentoring me this year and still be able to have love for my pain in the butt self.
